同学们大家好，从今天开始，我们将以每周干货的形式，为大家讲解GRE填空词汇。
众所周知，填空的本质是考语义逻辑的对等。
而语义逻辑的对等落实到最终题目上就是词汇的对等。即同义词和反义词。
因此，我们在记忆词汇时，更好的方法不是每天死记硬背，而是将高频词汇整理成group，以词对的方式去记忆。
除此之外，词汇的深入记忆也至关重要。所谓深入记忆，其实就是情景记忆。将单词带到情景里，明确每个单词在语境中的含义，才能更准确的理解词义和用法，从而避免翻译与实际用法出入较大的情况。
所以从今天开始，我们将给大家介绍词对，并将词汇与例题结合起来讲解，帮助大家深入理解并掌握词汇。
今天要学的词对是表示“证实/加强”和“反驳/削弱”的。
表示“证实/加强”的词有：
（证实）
confirm establish validate verify authenticate certify testify
attest corroborate substantiate vindicate
（加强）
brace buttress sustain underpin fortify uphold
bolster undergird prop
与之相反，表示“反驳/削弱”的有：
debunk confute discredit falsify refute undermine
belie confound rebut undercut sap
我们将平常使用中不常见的词做了高亮区分，大家可以重点眼熟这些词。
同时找了两个例题为大家展示这些词是如何应用在题目中的。
例题详解
例1：
Dramatic literatureoften ______ the history of a culturein thatittakes as its subject matter the important events that have shaped and guided the culture .
A confounds
B repudiates
C recapitulates
D anticipates
E polarizes
1. 观察结构：In that，前后是因果关系
2. 已知对象：Dramatic literature对历史中的文化怎么样了？
3. 对应对象：it代词指代？ Dramatic literature。
4. 对应特征：句式是it takes the important events that matters as its subject将那些很重要的事件作为话题，什么事件呢？that have shaped and guided the culture，塑造和引领文化的事件。
5. 未知特点：那么由此得知Dramatic literature对历史和文化什么态度呢？应该是把文化铭记在了历史里。
我们看选项：
A confounds削弱
B repudiates 驳斥、否认
C recapitulates 概括
D anticipates 预测、预料
E polarizes两极化
表示负面的词不能要，ABE删去，CD中能够表示“shape、guide”的，就是“概括”了。选择C。
例2：
Some of the company's supporters charged that the negative report had been motivated by a broader political assault on the company that was designed tohelp market rivalswho would like tosee the company ______ .
A reined in
B bolstered
C indemnified
D propped up
E manacled
F lionized
长难句句子架构分析：
Some of the company's supporters charged that
这是主句，后面所有的内容都是这些支持者的charge。
negative report had been motivated by a broader political assault on the company that
that修饰的是political assault，反对company的。
was designed to help market rivals who would like to see the company ______ .
这些political assault都是为了帮助竞争者___公司。
与空格直接有关的逻辑词是“design to”“为了”。
“为了”表示因果，这些给出负面报道的assault是为了怎样呢？
当然是为了让公司不好过。
我们看选项：
A reined in 控制，降服
B bolstered 加强
C indemnified 补偿
D propped up 支持
E manacled 束缚，戴手铐
F lionized 赞誉，崇拜
大家发现没有，6选2的题目一定是要填一对同义词。因此没有成对出现的词直接排除。
CF删掉。剩下AE，BD。
这一题不能选“加强”，明显竞争者见不得公司好，所以只能选AE。
通过这两题大家发现，很多高频词汇不一定是正确答案，但这并不意味着我们不需要记忆，
否则我们无法排除错误答案。
而通过词对式记忆能帮助你更高效地记忆一个词群，而非孤立地机械的记忆。
