I remember going to the Lake District with a group of friends for the first time back in 2008. I was in my second year of uni then. The Lake District is only half an hour away from my university. I had always wanted to go there ever since started uni. I was so excited when we finally went. I have to say it exceeded all my expectations.
It was a very nice day when we went, so my friends and I took a long walk on one of the walking paths. I was so amazed by how beautiful everything was. It was autumn when we went there. The colours were simply delightful. The mountains were of all shades of green and red. The sky was blue with white clouds hanging low. I felt like I was in a painting. We walked for hours but none of us felt tired because we were all busy appreciating the view. I had no idea that I would enjoy the peace and quite so much. It felt really good to be surrounded by nature.
I know it’s a little corny to talk about environmental issues, but I think people should really appreciate nature more and think about how to protect it.
